    Omaha’s Greek Fest recalls the city’s Greek history

    It’s hosted by St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, but it’s more than a fundraiser for the church.

    Organizers say an anti-Greek race riot in 1909 exiled more than 2,000 Greeks from their homes and businesses in Omaha, but they are now free to celebrate their heritage.
