    ERTFLIX goes international and brings Greece to the world

    ERT spreads its wings, packs its most valuable content and embarks on a journey to connect with the Greek diaspora, bringing them closer to Greece.

    Under the banner “ERTFLIX: Bringing you closer to home”, ERT’s international expansion aims to serve as a communication bridge between the Greek diaspora and Greece.

    ERT’s new TV series, Greek cinema and music programs offer diverse entertainment options as well as excellent scientific and historical documentaries and cultural programs, all of which paint a vivid picture of Greece’s rich history while revealing its modern identity.

    “ERTFLIX envisions a global Greek community, proud of the image of its homeland. Continued efforts will focus on improving and enriching content based on the preferences, perceptions, needs and aesthetics of Greeks around the world,” said Kostas Mahairas, ERT Director for the Greek Diaspora .

    “In the ever-changing landscape of global television, ERTFLIX aims to position itself alongside other major platforms, representing the impressive advancements in public broadcasting. It is a television service that values ​​pluralism, reliability, accuracy, respect for viewers and technological progress, destined to become a modern platform that connects and engages Greeks around the world, ensuring that they stay close to their roots, wherever they are.

    ERT also launched ERTnews, a new 24-hour live news channel, ensuring viewers stay informed with a comprehensive and accurate view of current affairs in Greece and around the world.

    The Greek national broadcaster also covers everything sports, from the Greek Basketball League to the Greek Football Super League, volleyball, handball and athletics.

    Meanwhile, award-winning series such as ERT1’s “Kane Oti Kimasei” are now available with English subtitles, as well as several new fiction series such as “Oikos II”, “Sta Syrmata”, “3rd Floor”, “Electra” and many others. more carefully selected series and programs.

    As part of a diverse range of content, viewers can now access the acclaimed show “ERTnews 365 Moments with Sofia Papaioannou”, educational stop-motion animations like “Gegonomeno-meso sto Mouseio”, travel show “Ftasame me ton Zerom Kalouta”. ‘, and ERT3 documentaries like ‘Nisia stin Akri’.

    The ERT Archives, which houses almost 80 percent of Greece’s audiovisual heritage, plays a central role in preserving the country’s cultural heritage while aiming to centralize contemporary Greek culture for a global audience.

    Feedback from international viewers is essential to the platform’s growth, and their unique perspectives help tailor content accordingly.

    Additionally, ERTFLIX will feature creators from the Greek diaspora, allowing them to showcase their work to a wider audience and the platform will highlight Greek achievements around the world.

    Shows like “Stous Dromous ton Ellinon” hosted by Maya Tsokli and “Oi Ellines tou Kosmou,” hosted by Giannis Moutsios, explore Greek life in the United States and were produced entirely in America.
