Women started about half of new businesses in the United States for the third year in a row in 2022, largely driven by a desire for flexibility and financial stability.
This compares to just 29% before the pandemic, according to a investigation by small business payroll company Gusto Inc. And women are generally more likely to say their company has done better than expected.
