    Tornos News | Athens’ public transport system will close early on New Year’s Eve

    Public transport in Athens will stop early on Sunday, New Year’s Eve, according to the city’s transport authority OASA, ANA reports.

    On December 31, buses and trams will begin their last scheduled journey between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and will be out of circulation at 11:00 p.m. Passengers planning to use express buses to Athens International Airport should call 11185 for timetables.

    Athens metro and tram lines will operate until 11:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

    The latest scheduled route for the Athens Metro and Tram is:

    ATHENS METRO:
    LINE 1 (ISAP)
    From Piraeus to Kifissia, the last train leaves at 10:20 p.m.
    From Kifissia to Piraeus, 10:20 p.m.
    From Monastiraki to Kifissia, 10:36 p.m., and to Piraeus, 10:54 p.m.
    From Omonis to Kifissia, 22:39, and to Piraeus, 22:52
    From Attiki to Kifissia, 10:44 p.m., and to Piraeus, 10:47 p.m.

    LINE 2 (red line)
    From Anthoupoli, 10:47 p.m.
    From Elliniko, 10:44 p.m.

    LINE 3 (blue line)
    From Dimotiko Theatro to Doukissis Plakentias, 10:39 p.m.
    By Doukissis Plakentias at Dimotiko Theatro, 10:42 p.m.
    Athens International Airport to Dimotiko Theater, 10:22 p.m.
    From Dimotiko Theater to Athens International Airport, 9:43 p.m.
    From Syntagma to all directions, 11:00 p.m.

    TRAM:
    LINE 7 (Asklipio Voulas – Aghia Triada)
    From Asklipio Voulas to Aghia Triada, the last tram leaves at 9:51 p.m.
    From Aghia Triada to Asklipio Voulas, 10:07 p.m.
    From Asklipio Voulas to Aghios Alexandros, 11:05 p.m.
    From Aghia Triada to 2nd (Defteri) Aghios Kosmas, 10:51 p.m.
