Discussion on the bill introducing changes across the entire spectrum of the primary sector that are “crucial for Greek agricultural development” will begin on Tuesday in the parliamentary standing committee on production and trade, ANA reports.
Some of its provisions include the following:
– Livestock pens to house animals, which will support the sustainability of small livestock businesses
– Control bureaucracy and provide solutions to the chronic problem of appeals to fisheries courts
– Regulate fishing tourism and aquaculture
– Regulatory issues for farmers who have been affected by fires and floods in recent months and have fallen under a state of emergency
– Create an adequate framework for the simultaneous production of agricultural goods and photovoltaic exploitation (solar panels) on high-production lands
– Resolve and update operational, regulatory and legislative issues of any nature, and
– Creation of agricultural departments within trade chambers to boost agricultural entrepreneurship.
