Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated in a dialogue on Friday at a gathering co-organized by New Democracy and the European People’s Party on the theme “The path to recovery”, reports ANA.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and Manfred Weber, President of the EPP and head of the EPP parliamentary group in the European Parliament, delivered speeches at the event. Zigfrid Muresan, coordinator, led the discussion. Muresan is vice-president of the EPP parliamentary group and also heads the “Fiscal and Structural Policies” working group.
“We aim to create 200,000 new jobs. That’s why we named the plan ‘Greece 2.0’,” Mitsotakis said, emphasizing that it was one of the first approved plans. But he also stressed that a significant effort was first needed “to develop a very detailed plan combining investments and reforms and which would then be submitted to the European Commission”.
