Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Lefteris Avgenakis discussed the adverse effects of recent forest fires and floods in Greece with visiting EU Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski on Tuesday, ANA reports.
In a statement, the Greek ministry said Avgenakis told the commissioner that the European family must now show reflexes, build a protective barrier against the climate crisis and strengthen European citizens’ sense of trust in the institutions.
