Greece plans to make it easier for Turkish citizens to visit some Aegean islands for a limited period by granting them a temporary visa, sources familiar with the matter said. The initiative, which would restart an earlier procedure, could be announced during the Turkish president’s visit Recep Tayyip Erdoğan He traveled to Athens on Thursday for the High-Level Cooperation Council, the sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity. The European Commission approved Athens’ decision to grant this temporary visa, one of them added.
