The National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures collection is already a popular option, and the partners are expanding its appeal with eight new journeys, including four aimed at parents, children and extended families traveling together.
The new National Geographic trips will take in Scotland, Turkey and US Wyoming, while a new tour will unite the two previous departures from Peru and Bolivia. Four new National Geographic family trips will take curious young people and their family members to discover Belize, Greece, Ireland and the Southwestern United States.
As with all National Geographic Journeys, each itinerary offers exclusive experiences within the G Adventures portfolio. These include a guided walk of Pitlochry in Scotland with a local specialist to hear stories of local life, and in Troy, Turkey, travelers will meet the author of the book Troja to discuss the impact of the Troy war. In Wyoming, guided wildlife tours will allow travelers to observe wolves, bison, pronghorn, badgers, grizzly bears and bald eagles.
Newly added National Geographic Family Journeys highlights include kayaking through Antelope Canyon in Arizona, participating in Greek family games in Athens, learning to make tortillas from ground corn kernels in Belize, and launching of a treasure hunt in Dublin, Ireland.
Ben Perlo, president of G Adventures, says the National Geographic Journeys style of travel has found favor with travelers.
“National Geographic is a household name and G Adventures is the leader in small group travel and the pioneer in community tourism. Together, we have created a uniquely compelling vacation option for immersive exploration that truly gets to the heart of local communities in the destinations we travel to,” said Perlo.
The new journeys in the collection bring the total number to 89 across both collections, including 16 specially designed for families. They are all available to book now, with the first departures taking place in April 2024.
