EY Canada is pleased to announce that 13 business founders have been selected for the EY Entrepreneurs Access Network Class of 2023. Launching in Canada in 2022, the program helps Black and Indigenous leaders access learning and networks to overcome obstacles and scale their businesses.
The class of 2023 includes fast-growing companies that are diverse in their missions and industries, but share the common thread of focusing on issues of social good and sustainability, while driving innovation and creating economic impact positive for all Canadians.
“From health and wellness to AI-based technology, from transportation to DE&I marketing, every company is unique in its approach to solving our most pressing problems by bringing new solutions to market,” says Daniel. Baer, co-director of the EY Entrepreneurs Access Network program. “The remarkable diversity found in the industries and entrepreneurs that make up this year’s cohort is a true testament to Canada’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and the inclusiveness and excellence it embodies. »
“Businesses owned and operated by underrepresented groups have traditionally faced challenges with funding, capital and connection,” says Christopher Gordon, co-director of the EY Entrepreneurs Access Network program. “Through the network, we empower entrepreneurs to overcome obstacles and soar to new heights by leveraging EY’s knowledge, network, tools and professionals. And we couldn’t be prouder to join them on their journey of entrepreneurial growth.

First launched in the United States, the Entrepreneurs Access Network aims to bridge the disparity gap by working with underrepresented CEOs of private for-profit organizations to offer a year-long educational program with career opportunities. coaching and networking, while working with regulatory and industry partners to help participants overcome traditional barriers to funding. Entrepreneur Access Network participants also have access to EY tools and services, benefit from an executive education program, and are matched with an EY Relationship Ambassador for one-on-one coaching to guide them through of their growth journey.
