Over the next 2-3 years, the Greek economy will grow three times faster than the EU average, US Ambassador George Tsunis noted on Monday, speaking at the 34th Greek Economic Summit GES2023 – “ Fostering a Sustainable Economic Future Amid Global Challenges” (December 4). -5).
Foreign investment in Greece has broken all records and American companies are participating, he added. Google’s investment alone reached 2.2 billion euros, he added.
The mutual interests of the United States and Greece are perfectly aligned, he added, mentioning specific areas of fruitful cooperation: in security, within NATO, in investments, in information, work, diplomacy, but also in matters of culture and education.
In geostrategic terms, it is important to have an uninterrupted supply of natural gas, the American diplomat stressed. Greece’s being a gas supplier benefits Greek companies and helps the country become an energy exporter ensuring regional stability.
The 34th Greek Economic Summit-GES2023 is organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Athens Exchange Group and in strategic partnership with the Atlantic Council and the American Chamber of Commerce.
