    Jobber awards $25,000 in grants to five Austin-based home service entrepreneurs

    The Jobber Grants program recognizes and celebrates the achievements of small businesses that are making a difference in the Austin community

    AUSTIN, TX, August 29, 2023 /PRNewswire/ – Jobberthe leading provider of operations management software for home service businesses, today announced the five recipients of its Jobber Grants in Austin program. The five entrepreneurs were selected from hundreds of applications and rewarded with $5,000 USD each to help accelerate the growth of their home services business and highlight their leadership and community impact.

    “Each recipient selected for a Jobber grant has demonstrated excellence in their field and makes a significant contribution to the city,” said Moly Milosovic, who leads Jobber’s community team. “We are delighted to support these hard-working professionals by helping them bring their ambitious projects to fruition.”

    To date, the national Jobber Grants program has awarded 80 home service businesses with grants totaling $450,000. THE $25,000 awarded through Jobber Grants in Austinlocal version of the national program, brings the total to $475,000. Whether purchasing equipment, increasing marketing investments, launching a new service, or hiring employees, grant recipients have the freedom to choose how they want to spend the funds to achieve their goals commercial.

    Jobber scholarships 2023 in Austin the recipients are:

    • Brendin DittmanCold owner is on the right plumbing: Brendin provides teams with the best tools to ensure work is done the right way, in the best way, and supports skills development through mentoring. The company is also dedicated to helping the next generation of skilled workers, and Brendin has built several tiny homes as an affordable housing option for apprentices while they complete their training.
    • Jaylin Laneowner of Straight Edge Landscaping: This year, the company will host its first annual back-to-school campaign to distribute more than 50 fully loaded backpacks to those in need. They also give 1% of their revenue back to customers and the community in the form of thank you gift cards and donations.
    • Karla Stancaowner of Tex-Mex Cleaning Services: The company offers its employees – many of whom are single mothers or people who need a job while building another career – higher wages and flexible hours. Karla has also partnered with Cleaning For a Reason to offer free cleanings to cancer patients undergoing treatment.
    • Carl Wellsowner of Wells Solar & Electrical Services: The company empowers its employees to grow and excel by providing ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends, new products and services, relevant digital platforms and relationship building strategies . Carl is also actively involved in community initiatives and has donated over $70,000 to local non-profit organizations through Texas during the last years.
    • Beto Jiménezowner of Eco Valet Trash: This curbside trash collection and bulk trash removal company prides itself on its unwavering commitment to perseverance, integrity and community involvement. The company puts community first through charitable partnerships, volunteer efforts and sponsorship of events, including those hosted by the Austin Apartment Association.

    “The Jobber Grant will change everything,” said recipient Jaylin Lane of Straight Edge landscaping. “We plan to dedicate the funds to business conferences with the aim of growing our network and becoming more informed about advancements in our field, improving the quality of the products and services we provide to our customers. We also plan to increase our marketing spend, which will allow us to increase our bottom line, give back to our customers with thank you gift cards, and contribute to charitable causes within our community.
