The new mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, was sworn in on Thursday, alongside members of the new municipal council, during a ceremony organized at the Kypseli municipal market to symbolize “the return of the municipality to the neighborhoods”, reports ANA .
He listed three conditions to ensure a fresh start for the Greek capital, including a clean and environmentally friendly city, a new administrative model where each councilor will be charged with a particular task and the establishment of a new relationship between the municipality and the citizens, ensuring that they have a say in all decisions.
