Women’s entrepreneurship dominated the second international forum organized on December 1-2 by the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Network of Chambers of Women Entrepreneurs, under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of the region of Attica and the municipality of Athens.
Addressing the economic climate, inflationary pressures and the measures taken by the government in this direction, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis invited the two speakers Marianna Hatzakou, member of the board of directors of MEVGAL and Niki Giavroglou, CEO of Greek Fine Oils, to declare their opinion on their effectiveness.
Hatzakou stressed that all measures taken to reduce inflation have indeed had an impact. As she mentioned, the household basket has helped consumers a lot as the prices of many products are also decreasing. However, according to her, finding human resources continues to be a problem.
For his part, Giavroglou stressed that the problem of finding human resources is important and that, in this context, opportunities are granted to people with less experience than that required for specific jobs. Furthermore, the company is in contact with universities looking for graduates or supporting the establishment of specialized industrial doctorates. In any case, the company tries by all means to attract human resources to meet its needs.
