Regarding the price of infant formula, he said that after March 1, prices would come closer to the European average.
Skrekas announced that the price reductions for infant formula and all product categories will be made public so that consumers can see what the price of these products was before and after the implementation of the measures.
“We all recognize that the main problem Greek families have to face is the high price of supermarkets and, for this reason, the government’s main priority is to tackle this big problem,” the minister said, adding that 25,000 inspections were carried out. and more than 12 million fines were imposed for unfair profit.
“We believe that the measures we have taken so far, combined with those that will come into force on March 1, will lead to a gradual de-escalation of inflation,” the minister said.
