The 2023 Future 50 honorees have created nearly 1,400 jobs in the Milwaukee area over the past three years.
Future 50 recognizes the fastest growing businesses in southeastern Wisconsin. The program began in 1988 with the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. The program returned in 2022 after a two-year hiatus, with BizTimes Media taking the lead on awards planning and MMAC remaining a partner.
To be part of the program, companies submit employment and revenue data dating back to 2019. BizTimes then verifies the information with each company’s accountant and banker. Each company is then ranked based on its employment and sales growth over the past three years and its expected growth this year.
“We are thrilled to recognize this year’s group of Future 50 winners. These companies create jobs and fuel growth in our region,” said Dan Meyer, publisher and owner of BizTimes Media. “As the region’s only local business media company, we are proud to provide an objective measurement of Southeast Wisconsin’s fastest-growing businesses. »
Collectively, this year’s Future 50 companies have 4,577 employees in the region, 1,367 more than in 2020, and these companies plan to create an additional 692 jobs by the end of the year. The Future 50 2023 group reported revenue of $3.64 billion, up $1.38 billion from 2020. The group expects a combined 8.8% increase in its sales this year.
Manufacturing companies make up a majority of the Future 50 2023 list with 16 spots. Another nine places are reserved for construction companies and eight of these companies are active in distribution, logistics or wholesale.
