Syracuse University hosted the annual conference Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in April so everyone on campus can join in honoring the history, cultural diversity, identities and contributions of AAPI communities rather than in May, when it is celebrated nationally.
Organized by the AAPI Heritage Month Planning Committeewith the support of Multicultural Affairs, the Center for International Services and Student Life, this year’s calendar included a full schedule of speakers, exhibitions, performances and student organization events.
The theme of this year’s celebration was “Community Comes Together: Strength in Unity.”
