Atrisco Heritage Academy High School Celebrated Native American Heritage Month
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (KRQE) – Native American Heritage Month may be coming to an end, but students at Atrisco Heritage Academy High School are continuing to highlight culture. Wednesday’s event included traditional Navajo belt dances, harvest dances and ribbon dances.
The artists said it was an opportunity to share their language, traditions and history with their classmates. The school is hosting another performance Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
