In recognition of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, the Toronto-based Hellenic Heritage Foundation unveiled a plaque dedicated to the community’s more than 100-year history in front of its most prominent building. The Council of State (CoS) has accepted a request that work on Athens Metro Line 4 at the “Evangelismos” stop be suspended until a required Technical and Environmental Report (TEPEM) and approved is filed, reports ANA. The Alsos Veikou-Goudi line will also include Evangelismos as a stop. CoS was requested by the Nikolaos D. Pateras Foundation and Pateras himself, who financed the landscaping of the park and the restoration of the chapel it contains, requesting the relocation of the works.
