The Council of State (CoS) has accepted a request that work on Athens Metro Line 4 at the “Evangelismos” stop be suspended until a required Technical and Environmental Report (TEPEM) and approved is filed, reports ANA.
The Alsos Veikou-Goudi line will also include Evangelismos as a stop.
CoS was requested by the Nikolaos D. Pateras Foundation and Pateras himself, who financed the landscaping of the park and the restoration of the chapel it contains, requesting the relocation of the works. The decision temporarily preserves nearly 230 trees and the rest of the plants in Rizari Park.
