Keizer University senior Paraskevi Maria Vergou, affectionately known as Mavi Vergos recently enjoyed participating in the Opt for the annual Greens conference held at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Vergos, a business management graduate from Athens, Greece, said the event was particularly suited to her future goals, as she joined inspiring leaders from the world of entrepreneurship and business who were also golf enthusiasts.
“Participating in the mentoring program has allowed me to connect with wonderful and successful women who will be a major source of inspiration as I pursue my future career. Not to mention, the opportunity to spend the week at Disney while learning important life skills was truly a magical experience,” Vergos said of the opportunity, while sharing that the new tools related to multitasking, Teamwork and critical thinking will be invaluable for the future.
As a surprise finale, Vergos and his teammates also won the event’s golf tournament title held on the final day of the conference.
Vergos, a senior at Keizer University’s flagship West Palm Beach campus, added that she is grateful for the opportunities to grow. “My experience at Keizer University has allowed me to grow both on the golf course and in my career path as a person,” she said, giving special thanks to the Flagship Campus president , Dr. Gary Vonk, to Seahawks coach Brandon Miller and Go for the Greens. members for the invitation to join the conference.

Bachelor of Arts from Keizer University in Business focuses on a basic understanding of business skills necessary for entry-level professionals.
