The Coramino Fund announces $500,000 in Grants to 50 U.S. Small Businesses – a new small business and entrepreneurship program led by LISC and funded by Gran Coramino Tequila – providing cash grants and resources to Black and Latino entrepreneurs and small business owners
JERSEY CITY, New Jersey, March 1, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Gran Coramino® Tequila®founded by entrepreneur Kevin Hart and 11th generation tequila maker, Juan Domingo Beckmannis proud to announce the 2023 recipients of the Coramino Fund U.S. program, in partnership with the national nonprofit Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC).
The Coramino Fund was created to support Black and Latino small business owners and entrepreneurs who have historically been prevented from accessing the capital and resources needed to grow their businesses. Applications for US companies opened in November 2022, and have been received from all 50 states and across a wide range of industries, including retail, transportation, educational services, and more. 50 eligible companies were selected by LISC to receive grants. 50% of the Coramino 2023 Fund’s selected businesses are Black-owned, 36% are Latinx-owned, and 14% are Black- and Latinx-owned. 68% are women-owned businesses.
Created by the founders Kevin Hart, Juan Domingo Beckmannand developed in partnership with Global Brand Equities, Gran Coramino Tequila gives back $1 of every bottle sold to support Black and Latinx entrepreneurs and small business owners in the United States and the United States Mexico. In early 2022, Gran Coramino partnered with LISC in the United States and the Beckmann Foundation in Mexico provide subsidies to local entrepreneurs.
