More than 5 million businesses were started in the United States last year, a sign that the pandemic-driven entrepreneurship boom could be lasting.
New business apps increased 44% between 2019 and 2022, with the largest increases in Southern states, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The figures published Tuesday.
