    New Greek-American restaurant opens in Doylestown

    DOYLESTOWN, PA — OPA Grille, the latest addition to Doylestown’s thriving dining scene, will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, September 6 at 266 South Main Street.

    Brothers-in-law Gus Mamounas and Jimmy Giannoumis reunited after 30 years to bring authentic Greek-American cuisine to the Doylestown area. Together, the two have over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry and are both immigrants from the Greek island of Chios.

    “Come join us to enjoy delicious Greek cuisine,” they wrote on their Facebook page. “Looking forward to serving you!”

    Giannoumis comes to OPA Grille after 25 years as a cook at Hot Spot Restaurant, a Greek-American restaurant that closed last December at the Mercer Square shopping center. Mamounas operated his own food delivery service before meeting up with his brother-in-law.

    They call their new business “a little piece of Greece right in Doylestown… serving recipes passed down through generations.”

    The restaurant will serve a full menu of Greek dishes including moussaka, pastitio, spanakopita, tzatziki, Greek salad, gyro, souvlaki and stuffed grape leaves.

    Additionally, OPA Grille will feature a number of American favorites including mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, buffalo wings, hoagies, cheesesteaks, corned beef Reuben, spaghetti and meatballs. meat, chicken parmigiana, fried flounder, crab cakes, shrimp basket, open plates. face hot roast beef and more.
