The 14th Ethnofest – Athens Ethnographic Film Festival opens on November 29 and will continue until December 10, reports ANA.
This edition of the festival pays tribute to the promotion and preservation of world cultural heritage with screenings, open debates and the screening of two classic short documentaries: “The Dance of the Goat” (1971) by Pantelis Voulgaris and the “Feast in Drapetsona” (1977) by Takis Papagiannidis.
More than 30 films are part of this year’s program and are presented in the Panorama, Filmic Experiments and International and Greek Student Films sections of the festival. Side events include open discussions and book presentations.
The festival is organized under the auspices and with the support of the Greek Ministry of Culture, 20 years after the proclamation of the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, it was indicated in the official press release.
