Admissions will open soon for the 2024-2025 school year, grades K-8, at Hellenic American Academy (HAA) in Deerfield.
The Academy offers a strong, problem-based learning program across the four disciplines of mathematics, science, literature and history; instruction that recognizes objective standards of accuracy, logic, beauty, and truth; immersive Greek language teaching; Creative preschool curriculum, based on research and practical experience; optional before and after school care; and after-school enrichment and cultural programs available.
Registration for current students opens February 1st, registration for new students opens March 1st. Act quickly because there is a waiting list for kindergarten and grades 3 to 5.

The 2023 Illinois Junior Academy of Science Fair 1st Place State Team, Division C; the 2023 Illinois Junior Academy of Science Fair – four gold medalists and two special awards; 70% of HAA graduates are placed in specialized math, English, and history courses in high school; first place at the Academic Bowl of the National Hellenic Museum; Hellenic Bar Association Essay Competition 2023 – three winners; Recipient of the 2023 Hellenic Foundation Grant, Greek Theater Program; student recognition at the Illinois Principals Association; HAA is recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education; Middle school students rank in the top 20 percent in national reading and math achievement; HAA is officially accredited as an examination center for the Certificate of Achievement in Greek (Ellinomatheia Certificate) in the Midwest region by the Greek Ministry of Education and the Greek Language Center; Record participation in Ellinomatheia exams for HAA students with a success rate of more than 90% in May 2023; and 100% of high school graduates from the 2023 HAA Saturday Program have acquired academic knowledge in Greek, passing levels B2, C1 and C2 for the Certificate of Achievement in Greek Language and eligible for university credits.
