As Albanian Deputy Prime Minister from Skopje Bujar Osmani travels to Athens for contacts with the leadership of the Greek Foreign Ministry, a message from the Albanian news portal www.infoshqip.com, which refers to “details” of the upcoming Athens-Skopje agreement for the name, citing “reliable Greek sources”.
According to the Albanian publication, the agreed official name is “Republic of New Macedonia” and abbreviated “New Macedonia”. The agreement also provides solutions to ecclesiastical, linguistic and identity problems, not only for the Slavomacedonians but also for the Greeks of Macedonia.
The name of the country will be in Slavic, English, Greek and Albanian. Specifically:
