The Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF) announced on January 23 that registration is now open. The LAGFF accepts films made over the previous two years in all categories: feature films and short films, fiction, documentaries and animated works. The key filmmaker(s) – screenwriter, director, producer, lead actor – must be Greek or of Greek origin. The usual deadline is February 29, 2024. Submit your feature film project as a draft treatment or screenplay to Discovery Days and have your story and pitch studied in Los Angeles and Athens by American experts. LAGFF also announced that the 2nd Annual Greek Film Festival Summit will take place online on Saturday, February 10 at 11:00 AM PT/2:00 PM Eastern Time/9:00 PM Greece. “We believe in the power of the diaspora to advance and contribute to Greek culture and the global artistic community,” LAGFF said in an emailed statement. “We are pleased to offer the second annual global platform for Greek film festivals outside of Greece to meet virtually and examine the issues we all face, brainstorm and share ideas.”
