Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who called to congratulate him on his election victory, ANA reports.
During the meeting, according to government sources, the two leaders confirmed their intention to further strengthen bilateral relations, while agreeing to meet soon.
In a series of tweets, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said the two leaders stressed that “an Israel-Greece-Cyprus trilateral meeting should take place as soon as possible and stressed that it would address, among other topics, of the energy question. The Greek and Israeli leaders also agreed to “continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various areas, including technology and artificial intelligence,” the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office added.
