Relations between Greece and India, through the agri-food sector, have been improved thanks to the cooperation memorandum submitted to Parliament for ratification, Minister of Rural Development and Food Lefteris Avgenakis said in his speech to Parliament on Tuesday, upon ratification of the memorandum: ANA reports.
According to Avgenakis, this cooperation memorandum allows the development of relations in the agricultural field and the strengthening of bilateral relations between Greece and India.
It also paves the way for the establishment of a safety and origin center for Indian products at a Greek port, where their safety and hygiene will be certified.
“Greece is becoming a trade hub between the Middle East and Europe for Indian agricultural exports, a gateway from India to Europe,” noted the Minister of Rural Development and of Food.
