Vanessa Hudgens is no stranger to small businesses.
The actress and singer is behind two brands: Caliwater and Know Beauty – and has been working for ages.
WWD met with Hudgens at American Express” “Raise the bar with the Business Gold card” arise on November 2 in New York, and spoke about all things small business and Halloween.
“They have an incredible history of supporting small businesses,” said Hudgens, who is an Amex partner. “As a small business owner myself, I have seen the benefits of having a American Express Business Gold Card. They just revamped the card with new member benefits and take the guesswork out of maximizing your spending.

The actress and singer covers several categories. With Caliwater, created in collaboration with Hudgens’ friend Oliver Trevena, she offers a modern antioxidant water; knowing Beauty focuses on skin care.
Know Beauty launched in 2021, but rebranded to 2023. Products include two face masks: the Glacial Bay Clay Mask and the new Arctic Gold Vitamin C Mask.
“With Know Beauty, we strive to target specific concerns, one issue at a time, with effective ingredients and results,” Hudgens explained, later adding, “I’m very passionate about skincare, especially when I’m in my 30s. I’ve learned so much about everyone in the process.

When she’s not running her multi-level businesses and starring in movies and shows, Hudgens embraces her lifelong obsession with Halloween. This year, the actress took to her Instagram to showcase a slew of costumes, including a witch, a baseball player and “The Princess Bride.”
“It’s my favorite season,” Hudgens said. “I’m definitely going into post-Halloween depression. It always goes so fast, October comes and goes so quickly and I’m always so sad about it. It’s just something I’ve always loved.
Her earliest memories of Halloween begin at age 3, when she “literally dressed up as Catwoman every day,” she said. “Obviously, I became an actor and I also got to dress up in my work. I love spooky season,” Hudgens said.
