Accreditation process
Journalists wishing to cover the Committee (in person) are required to request accreditation before Friday August 25, by sending an email with their name and the name of their media outlet to:
The Committee will also be broadcast live and will be available here.
On September 11 (1:00 p.m. local time in Riyadh), UNESCO and the Saudi authorities will hold a press conference which will be broadcast online.
The Committee will examine the state of conservation of 260 sites already registered on the World Heritage Listof which 55 are also on the List of World Heritage in Danger.
From September 16, the World Heritage Committee will begin examining nominations of sites for the UNESCO World Heritage List, starting with nominations that could not be considered last year.

To date, the World Heritage Committee has registered 1,157 sites in 167 countries on the World Heritage List. Composed of representatives of 21 States Parties having ratified the World Heritage Convention, the Committee is responsible for implementing the Convention.
