Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is set to focus on Greek mythology after a major leak revealed various Greek-themed NPCs, skins, cosmetics, map changes and an in-game event is coming.

One of these rumors that has been circulating in the community for months concerns the theme of Greek mythology. Now, various files of the game have been discovered on the back of the new update v28.30which all but confirms that Chapter 5 Season 2 will be Greek themed.

According to reliable leaks from the Fortnite community of ShiinaBR, HYPEX, Guille_GAGAnd Chief FNAko, many data files from the game itself were discovered. These suggest that a Greek mythology theme is coming in Chapter 5 of Season 2.

Odyssey NPC and skin
Epic Games even added an Odyssey NPC to Battle Royale mode with its v28.30 Fortnite update. She appears on Ruined Reels and if you interact with her she says, “I can feel an ancient power growing on the island.”
Fewer ads|Dark mode|Deals on games, TV, movies and technology
It was discovered in the game files that Odyssey had its own skins and cosmetics as part of the “Odyssey” cosmetic set. One of them shows her wearing armor representing ancient Greece.
Cerberus Hide
It was also revealed that Cerberus will be joining Fortnite this season. A skin as well as a Greek-themed loading screen showing the three-headed beast and ancient Greek columns were also found by dataminers.

Greek mythology event
Dataminers also came across data files suggesting that an in-game event will take place next season. These mention “Storms, Tornadoes, Vortexes and Lava”, in which storms and tornadoes featured in previous seasons.
A large hand made of lava and molten rock was discovered in connection with the event, hinting at major map changes coming in Chapter 5 Season 2, as expected.
