- An Indian prime minister is set to visit Greece for the first time in 40 years. The Ministry of External Affairs announced that Prime Minister Modi will visit the country on August 25, immediately after his visit to South Africa for the BRICS Summit.
- “India and Greece enjoy civilizational ties that have been strengthened in recent years through cooperation in areas such as maritime transport, defence, trade, investment and links between peoples. “Prime Minister Modi will hold talks with Prime Minister Mitsotakis to discuss ways to further deepen relations,” the ministry said.
