One of the last things you’d expect with stuffy politicians squaring off in the first debate of the Republican presidential primary is a discussion on the controversial topic of UFOs, or unidentified anomalous phenomena as they’re now called, but This is exactly what happened last night.
The awkward moment in the debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Wednesday night (August 23), featuring eight potential presidential candidates, came when moderator Martha MacCallum took aim at former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for ask him for his opinion on the responsibility of a president to provide the American public with the the truth about UFOs.
“I understand the UFO question?” Christie responded with a smile. Christie was a good sport on the unexpected topic addressed specifically to him, when asked about his own thoughts regarding transparency with the country regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) following fascinating congressional hearings on the subject last July.
“The job of the president of the United States is to stand up to the American people on everything. The job of the president of the United States is to stand up for the truth,” Christie responded.

The topic of UFOs or UAPs has recently taken center stage in Washington, D.C., as federal agencies and even the Department of Defense have begun making public statements that appear to indicate that pilots and other military personnel have been confronted with UFOs. abnormal objects that display advanced capabilities with increasing frequency.
The Department of Defense (DOD) even created an office known as Anomaly resolution office in all areas (AARO) to detect and identify UAPs in US airspace.
Despite cataloging hundreds of reports, the head of the office told the members of the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services in April 2023, that the AARO “has found to date no credible evidence of extraterrestrial activity, off-world technology, or objects that defy known laws of physics.
Then, in July, a veteran of the US military and intelligence told a congressional subcommittee that the US government is hiding a “multi-decade accident recovery and reverse engineering program” and is in possession of “non-human spacecraft”.
