Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis will travel to Washington on Thursday for the 5th round of the Greek-American strategic dialogue, the Greek Foreign Ministry announced, ANA reports.
On Friday, February 9, Gerapetritis will meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the State Department.
After the meeting, they will announce the start of the 5th Greek-American Strategic Dialogue, in which Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis will participate.
Topics that will be discussed during the dialogue include regional developments, defense and security, humanitarian challenges and disaster preparedness, energy and environment, law enforcement and counter-terrorism, trade and investments, as well as ties between the two peoples.
The two foreign ministers will make joint statements to the press, followed by a signing ceremony of Greece’s act of accession to the “Artemis Accords”, which govern peaceful collaboration in space.
While in Washington, Gerapetritis will speak at the Wilson Center event “Our Ocean Countdown, Greece 2024: An Ocean of Potential” and participate in a discussion with the US President’s Special Envoy for Climate, John Kerry.
