Bilateral relations, issues of European interest and EU enlargement in the Western Balkans were discussed on Friday during a meeting between Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis and Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó in Athens , reports ANA.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they also stressed the need for a de-escalation of the crisis in the Middle East and expressed concern over its spread to the Red Sea and its impact on maritime transport, international trade and the international and European economy.
The two sides also discussed energy cooperation between Greece and Hungary and Greece’s role as a regional hub for energy and energy diversification.
