Greek Minister of Maritime Navy and Island Policy Christos Stylianides met on Friday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Jung Il Lee, ANA reports.
Stylianides stressed that Korean shipyards have always been a very important business partner of Greek shipowners, according to a ministry statement.
The minister added that the Greek-Korean maritime collaboration should integrate Greek maritime technology products into Greek orders built in Korea, as the equipment sector in Greece is dynamic and provides high-quality products.
The Memorandum of Cooperation between Greece and South Korea in the maritime and shipbuilding sector (2014) and the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between South Korea and the EU, the latter being the first EU trade deal with an Asian country, were also mentioned.
