“We welcome India’s interest in gaining better access to the port of Piraeus and investing in other Greek ports, in order to create gateways for its exports to Europe, but also to create manufacturing assembly lines in our country so that the final product has a European passport. It is no coincidence that India, a member of the BRICS countries, after France and Germany, chooses as its political and economic partner a third European country, Greece, for a strategic relationship, as Greece is clearly suited geopolitically and can become India’s gateway. “I consider it mutually beneficial and good practice for India follow the same safe and successful path through Greece to Europe, as China chose years ago with Cosco’s investment in the port of Piraeus,” said the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Commerce of Piraeus. The industrialist, Vassilis Korkidis, said following the commercial contacts that took place during the recent official visit of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to Greece, reports ANA.
