Hellenic Boston Businesses Unite (HBBU) hosted its first Winter White Gala on February 3 at the Oakley Country Club in Watertown and raised funds for the Metro Boston Camp and the SOTIR Center.
The dynamic event, hosted by HBBU, a recently launched nonprofit organization that strives to unite New England-based Greek businesses and professionals in altruistic acts motivated by honor and “philotimo,” hosted over 65 guests who enjoyed the music of Salonica Boys and participated in a silent auction to support the children of the Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC) and the SOTIR Center in Thessaloniki, Greece.
“There is a lot to be grateful for, and most of all, I thank God,” said Panayiota Asimacos, founder and president of HBBU. “Accompanied by his love and light, I founded HBBU, with the vision of uniting the Greek community, not only businessmen and women, but also professionals. My dream was to bring everyone together with “philotimo” in our hearts.
