Lower prices will appear on supermarket shelves from the beginning of March, following the government’s new measures, Development Minister Kostas Skrekas said on Skai radio on Wednesday, ANA reports.
Skrekas said the new measures would be voted on this week or next week and businesses would have a few days to correct their price lists.
Sales prices before and after the reductions will also be made public, he noted.
Commenting on the rise in food prices, the minister said the government has taken measures and expects prices to fall.
