Greece’s Economic Chamber requested a later deadline for annual general meetings approving the annual balance sheets of joint-stock companies, during a meeting of a parliamentary committee on Wednesday examining a draft law on digital platforms, ANA reports.
House Speaker Konstantinos Kollias told the parliamentary committee that the change was necessary because, with fiscal 2022 tax filings due Aug. 31, 2023, it left very little time for accountants/CPAs to prepare the documents before the current deadline of September 10.
