President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou arrived in Bled on Monday for the Bled Strategic Forum, at the invitation of Slovenian President Natas Pirc Musar, ANA reports.
The theme of the August 28-29 forum is “Solidarity for Global Security.” Speaking at home, Sakellaropoulou said: “I intend to refer to the repercussions of the climate crisis – which is taking on ever more alarming dimensions – and the flight of young people, particularly the most educated, towards countries offering better work opportunities. She added that the conference “will be constructive and contribute to taking measures to address these phenomena.”
Tuesday morning, Sakellaropoulou will be one of the speakers on the “Global Challenges – Youth Voices” panel. The six-member panel will be introduced and moderated by Slovenian President Pirc Musar and will include Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatovic and President of Moldova Maia Sandu.
