US Mission to Greece Ambassadors Fund Scholarship for Summer Travel (SWT)

Recipients of the U.S. Mission to Greece Ambassadors Fund for Summer Travel (SWT) Scholarship will travel to the United States for up to four months during their college summer break. Recipients will be matched with host employers in seasonal communities across the United States and will work in entry-level seasonal jobs with a high level of interaction with American colleagues and guests. Recipients will meet, work, live, and learn from Americans and other international students while sharing their daily experiences.

All program fees, round-trip flights to the United States, visa interview, flight to Athens for visa interview (if applicable), travel to host employer, SEVIS fees and the health insurance provided for in the program. We are asking individuals to have access to emergency money just in case.

These jobs will be entry-level (cashier, waitress, bus driver, hotel clerk, lifeguard, hotel cleaner, etc.) and will give participants the opportunity to practice English, earn a fair wage and enjoy summer activities.

Up to 20 participants will be chosen for the 2024 summer season.
